Who are you really?
Why were you born?
What are your deepest truths? Your greatest passions? Your highest joys? Your wildest dreams?
What do you want people to say at your funeral about you?
What do you want your life to have meant?
Where do your beliefs come from? Are they really yours? And how are they serving you?
What do you devote most of your time and energy to? And why?
How often do you postpone what you really want in the now so you might be happy in the future?
and most importantly...
If you could have anything in life... as if you were ordering from a catalogue... what would you order?
Have you ever asked these questions before?
And really tried to answer them?
No? But aren't they the most important questions?
Is it because you're so busy and distracted with work, entertainment, the "news" or video games? With keeping up to date with the latest "beauty trends" and gossip? With trying to find that special someone who will make you feel complete? Or is it because you fear failure and disappointment... of getting your hopes up not getting what you want?
Is it because you don't believe in yourself?

here's a question...
what if we were all magnificent, powerful and divine beings; sacred immortal creators? the gods in disguise.
What if we didn't know ourselves at all?
Is it possible?
Maybe its worth a bit of a rabbit hole adventuring to find out... I mean, have you got anything more important to do?
If you follow your heart; your highest joys, your greatest desires, your truest loves.... where will they take you?
Do you know? Have you ever gone down that path?
Have you followed those feelings?
What if your only "job" was to follow those feelings. To quiet the mind and listen to the wisdom of your body. What if your only job was to stop attempting to control things that aren't within your control and started mastering the only things that actually are: like your thoughts, words and intentions; your magic.

~ LIFE BEGINS JUST OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE ~
Being led astray means stepping out of your comfort zone (from what is "normal" and "safe") and taking a long walk through the woods: the wilderness of your psyche.
Most of us crave adventure, new horizons, uninhibited self expression. Yet even the most brave and adventurous of us get stuck in our cozy little comfort zones, where it feels safe and familiar.
Now don't get me wrong, if you feel ecstatic in your comfort zone, stay there.
But the problem is that we cling to them even when we feel miserable.
According to renowned speaker and author Dr. Gabor Mate: "addiction is nothing more than an attempt to self-medicate emotional pain. It isn't the substance we are addicted to, it's the neuropeptides that our body produces when we take the drug or engage that that behaviour we are addicted to. We become addicted to neuropeptides that are associated with certain emotions, and this is why we can even become addicted to unpleasant emotions. For example a person with a victim mentality is addicted to the neuropeptides that are associated with that tone of feeling. The emotional tone becomes their comfort zone and they don't know what else to do about it. They don't know what else to feel because of no comparison to relate it to something else that they never fully experienced. The unknown is so scary that they prefer to stay addicted to the unpleasant emotions."
In a way, we live in a culture of addicts. Just about everyone has some kind of minor or major addiction, whether it be your phone, television, work, shopping, food, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, the gym, a particular person, money, gambling or sex, the list goes on. I have even heard of one lady who was addicted to eating washing powder.
Or perhap's its our ideas about addiction that are a little flawed.
Research has shown that no substance is addictive in itself. Not everyone goes shopping and becomes a shopaholic. Not everyone who drinks becomes an alcoholic. And when patients are given morphine in hospitals, it doesn't turn them into heroin addicts.
In the relatively recent experiment "Rat Park Heroin Experiment', rats were given a second choice of water, one that was laced with heroin, the results were very interesting. All the rats began drinking only the heroin laced water to the point that they all died. The rats were then given an amazing new environment to live in, one that had way more stimulation and interaction with other mice and guess what happened? They all preferred drinking the normal water and were no longer interested in killing themselves with the heroin laced water because life was better than the heroin highs!
So if you sometimes feel bored, lost, stuck or powerless (kind of like the caged rats), if you routinely engage in addictive behaviour that medicates or distracts you from reality of the now, then perhaps what you really need is to be led astray a little...
THE 7 LAWS OF BEING LED ASTRAY
LAW NO. 1 ~ BE A BOSS
We are the creators of our realities. And for those sceptics out there: don't be too quick to write me off as just some idyllic hippie - all the latest science is confirming that we are actually creating our reality with our thoughts and words - that consciousness affects matter.
We are all living in our own little worlds. In fact, it could be said that the world really does revolve around us. Each and every one of us. We all have our own unique lenses through which we view the world; two people could witness the same event and yet have completely different experiences. Some people are scared to leave their house because the world they live in is a very dangerous place, while some people hitchhike and travel to third world countries alone without any fear at all and only experience kindness from strangers.
Accepting that we are the creators of our lives is not easy to do, for it means we must accept responsibility for all that we have created, including the unfavourable things that happened to us. Of course, we must accept that some things are out of our control. Life is complex. But ultimately we have much more power than we give ourselves credit for and once you understand how the laws of nature work.... such as:
Like attracts like.
Energy goes where attention flows.
For every action there is a reaction.
An unexpressed emotion never dies. You cannot destroy energy. Only change it.
...you begin to feel wonderfully powerful, free and inspired.
Instead of being blown around in a sea of luck and chance, you can learn to ride the waves of natures law.
We create our realities through our beliefs.
A belief is simply a thought we keep thinking over and over again, and our words, self talk, expectations, emotions and actions follow and reflect our beliefs.
Unfortunately, many of us are focused on our problems and what we don't have, rather than our blessings.
By practicing mindfulness; becoming aware of our self talk and actions, and the feelings it produces, we can begin to disassociate ourselves from our thoughts and feelings and become the silent watcher. Being aware that we are not our emotions, that we are simply having them, is highly liberating and empowering. It means that by choosing our thoughts, we can choose our emotions. And by changing our beliefs we can change our lives.
In fact, our feelings are not just some helpless response to life's events. Our feelings are an important navigation system that is designed to lead us to our desires (refer to the Esther Hicks material if this sounds absurd to you). Your higher self communicates to you through your feelings: when you feel good, you can know you are on the right track, and if you feel bad, you know you are not in alignment with your higher self or the desires you have.
By realising that the thoughts that play in our head on repeat through the day are not facts and are just stories we have created in order to make sense of our experiences, we can begin to take control of our lives and rewrite new stories that make us feel better and bring us back into alignment with the wisdom of our body and higher self.
You create your reality with the words you speak and the thoughts you think, so be careful to choose your words, self talk and thoughts wisely. Words have power. When you speak, you cast spells (thats why they call it spelling).
Your imagination is a powerful tool. So use it wisely...
LAW NO. 2 ~ BE CURIOUS
be a rebel; ask questions. educate yourself like a boss.
Acquire a burning curiosity. Search for the truth about the world you live in. Search for the truth about yourself. Do not assume you know yourself or what you are capable of. Do not believe everything your told. Do not assume that because you went to school and watch the news, that you are an educated and informed person. Ask questions and do your own research. Follow the mysterious.

LAW NO. 3 ~ BE BRAVE
feel the fear and do it anyway

be brave enough to stop caring what people think & love yourself like a boss.

LAW NO. 4 ~ GET INTO YOUR HEART
People say "follow your heart"... but what does that even mean?
Learn to listen to it and connect with it so you can see, speak & create from a heart centred space, rather than an ego driven space.
The ancient Egyptians saw the heart as an organ of truth. The seat of the soul. The essence of who you are.
The heart contains the power of life itself; of divine intelligence. The heart is the pathway to infinite wisdom.

The heart's frequency alters every other frequency within the universe. We now know they are intrinsically connected to one another. The vibrational frequency that you emanate from you heart, which, when you are in a state of love, grace & gratitude, is the highest and most powerful frequency in the universe, and affects the world at the greatest rate. So, use your heart to create like a boss.
LAW NO. 5 ~ BECOME SERIOUS ABOUT PLAY

Believe it or not, life is actually meant to be enjoyed! Yes it can also be hard fucking work and yes we need to take it seriously and contribute to the greater good, but I'd have to say that generally speaking, most of us need to lighten up and have some fucking fun.
Playing doesn't necessarily mean getting our your old toys and playing childish games like hide and seek (although that game will always rock), its more of an attitude of lightheartedness and fearlessness. It's a willingness to try new things, experiment and make mistakes. To play is to do things purely because you enjoy it, rather than for a specific reason or desired outcome. Not everything needs to have a purpose, label or identity, some things should just be done because you simply felt like it.
heal your inner child.
An unexpressed emotion never dies, which means the past acts as an anchor until you release it.
Since we are raised in a society that teaches us to hold back our tears and mask many of our emotions, it means that many of us have unexpressed emotions trapped inside us.
Ironically, until we heal our inner child, we will never be able to fully grow up.
LAW NO. 6 ~ BECOME A DREAM LOVER
